Patriots Week 7 Report Card, New England Downs Chicago 38-31

The Patriots have won four in a row and are now alone atop the division at 5-2, after they won their first road game of the season against NFC North division leader Chicago. But in doing so they made life quite harder than it had to be with some really sloppy mistakes and some poor play at times. They could have and should have won a lot more comfortably than 38-31. But that’s why they play the games.
With the extremes of highs and lows, this one is rather difficult to get an accurate reading on. Several players made bad plays and then redeemed themselves with very good or even great ones.
