Half time thoughts

1. This is what happens when you lose your focus....even if its just a little bit. Dropped passes, penalties, fumbles, even bad special teams plays. playing a full 60 minutes is NOT just cliche

2. this is first game when I'm on board with those who are concerned with the lack of ANY pressure on Landry. Especially from up the middle. Its a problem when you are playing a lot of zone.
We have 2 of the best blitzing LB's in the league, yet no once have we let one loose up the middle

3. The offense still woiuld be on the field if they simply caught the damned ball

4. The refs have done a great job. Everything they've called was real, except for BOTH PF calls, which should not have been called. The one on Pittsburgh was weak. The one on Hightower, was a make up call. BOTH flags should have stayed in their pockets.

if they would throw the ****ing ball to the tight ends brady would have 250 yards

we prefer short throws to jules. makes 3rd down more manageable. problem is our backs/receivers keep dropping easy 3rd down conversions.

disgraceful performance by the offense so far

It will be a glorious day for humanity when some of the dense people here realize that the key priority is to stop LeVeon Bell (and the Steelers running game) and then let Landry Jones beat them with his arm.

Spoiler warning.. unless Jones has the game of his life -- which so far he didnt have -- this will work and we will walk away with a win because as evidenced multiple times tonight already he can't sustain his accuracy over the entire game.

So sit back and relax because there is no reason to panic as long as we dont commit even more turnovers or suffer some injuries.

Bell had over 80 yards in the first half. We aren't stopping him.

Everyone--

R-E-L-A-X.

Pitt blew their load in the first half. Football has 4 quarters for a reason, and we are the best team in the NFL at 2nd half adjustments. If we are true to form, and because they overachieved and got ONLY 10 points, we should hold them to a field goal or two the rest of the game.

Remember, they only got those 10 points off of two easy drops by Brandon and Julian. We got this game. Have some faith in the best damn team of the past 16 years

What makes you think they are open

On the tape replays so far, both TEs are running in and out cuts with the LBs basically "hugging" them both out of the breaks to disrupt the timing. Look for them to fake the cuts and go upfield freely as the adjustment.

And it works so I wish the "push rush sucks" guys would just shut up. Great pass rush sacrifices other things.
We had a damn good pass rush last year. What was sacrificed on defense last year?

This game should have been over at the half. 14 quick points and have them on the ropes but can't put our foot on their necks because we went vanilla on offense and practically to a prevent on D. This team is much better than that garbage first half

Do you guys understand what happens when you crank up the pass rush?

No because they are only interested in highlight plays. The way the media tries to dumb down the game of football to the masses makes any nuanced football talk almost impossible as evidenced by being upset about Chandler Jones.

yes. Sacks

Oh sorry, i think we are in ""prevent"", so Landry ****ing Jones doesnt kill us with his amazing feets.

Give me a break man, our team is awesome, but our defensive line is bad pressuring the QB. It's the pure truth
sure and other things you dont understand. Stick to madden.

Meh, still up 4 and getting the ball back in the 2nd half. The only players stopping the the Patriots O is the the Patriots players. Certainly not Pittsburgh.

Thought the defense played pretty good except for that last drive which I thought was more of a combination of bad play calls and players not being where they were supposed to be + poor tackling.

It's only 10 points people. Some of it contributed by two bad drops.

When a defense throws the kitchen sink at limiting your TEs, you need to be able to make them pay elsewhere. Edelman and Blount have stepped up pretty well, but Mitchell, Bolden and White (aside from that one play) aren't stepping up like they need to.

It's an execution problem, not a playcalling problem.
Very fair points and thank you for great insight....I know they have been blanketing Gronk and Bennett for most part....so either shake it up in formation to get one of them or both involved....or you are right , SOMEONE else has to be open to MAKE them play.....unfortunately one of those guys was Bolden who I HATE as an offensive player.....and Edelman has made a few more costly drops and is not back yet.

My question is WHERE is Mitchell....and if we are going to pass to a RB ....can we make it to White?!?!
