Steve Balestrieri

Julian Edelman and Stephon Gilmore got into it a bit at the end of practice. As per the Patriots usual M.O. both players were sent to the locker room.

Great to include 1v1 battles.

Garcia vs Allen . sounds like a match id watch..
Good to hear about bouncer Karras, important piece of the puzzle.

Still hoping that my OL binkies, Jamil Douglas & Max Rich, start to figure things out better than it seems they have, so far. And what the heck's going on with Derek Rivers?

Rivers is a PROJECT.. I know that's something you have a hard time with.. It means that it will take a while for him to show something..

Many timelines show similar trajectory as Flowers. Another Patriots advantage - they execute the long game of development better than just about any other NFL team. They've had plenty of failures (Hello there Mr Bequette!), but when they hit, they usually hit big.

He is also a project in the sense that being a classical DE might not work here. We'll see what they have in mind soon enough but some of us projected him in Ninko capacity. They could see him even more as LB down the line. While he is undersized for NE DE he is very strong though so he can be useful on the line as well . just maybe not as full time DE.

Hopefully Ealy works out for this year and possibly Wise in rotation . so they have all the time they need to put Rivers in best position to succeed. If he can master LB duties he could be a monster further down the road. Esp. since colleges produce less and less 6'3,250 LBs..

Very excited to see what they make of him..
