Same for Tate. He was horrible last night. I'm in NY and watched on the NY station and they told a story about their rookie kick returner #12, who muffed a punt last night, and in general seemed very much like Tate! They said one punt return he tried to cross the field and got hit for a loss. The coach told him never to do that, and he replied "but the play was to run left". The coach said that all changes when the punt was hit right! Tate had what seemed to be a similar punt return...hit wide right, he tries to run it left and gets hit for loss.

Tate was clearly pressing, taking kicks out of the end zone that he clearly should have knelt. The guy knows he is behind Price as a WR, and apparently dropping behind Slater as well.

As for Medlin, he was doomed to lose out in the numbers game unless one of the guys in front of him got a season ending injury or he completely dominated against the other teams in the pre-season. Not a surprising cut at all.

Medlin could have scored 5 TDs last night, he wasn't making the team.

Yeah, but scoring 5 TD's would have been better than fumbling the ball away for the go-ahead touchdown, and then not being able to pick up the blitz on two straight plays that lead to Mallett getting killed when they needed just a field goal at home for the win.

The former would have at least looked a little better on his resume
