Per Mike Reiss, the confidential labor talks include Goodell plus five owners, one of them Kraft, and Smith plus five players, one of them Vrabel.

With Hunt and Mara at one end, Richardson and Spanos at the other and Kraft in the middle, you have enough old guard and new guard juice in that room to get a deal done from the owners' side. If those five guys can agree on a settlement, it's hard to imagine it not getting two thirds of the owners to back it.
