Sounds like a practical joke. Simms to Brady: "Step aside, and watch THIS."

QB coaches don't have to be good at the game, they just have to be good coaches. He has to pay his dues first. He will likely be an assistant before getting that important role of QB coach. QB coaches become OCs then frequently become HCs. At least traditionally. I'm not sure BB and company follow this sort of model, but it doesn't mean he couldn't jump to another team following that career path.
