Patriots gauging trade market for Kony Ealy

In 2006, Branch was actively shooting his way out of Dodge during his contract year. He had rejected a 3-year/$18M extension offer, held out, demanded a trade, and then sued the Pats for bargaining in bad faith.

Yeah, The Twig, whom I'd liked right when I saw him at his 1st training camp, went into my doghouse for a few years after that.

It's pretty clear the Pats don't like Ealy much but necessity is making them keep him around. He'll be gone by October. Just will take some time to find some DE depth on the market nearer the trade deadline or at cut down time.
