Patriots Defense needs major work

They excelled in this defense previously. However two of the biggest parts (Bru and Harrison) are showing a little wear and tear and A.D. is probably not up to speed, understandably.

AD has adjusted to NE's defensive schemes. During the first few games AD was making a lot of plays defensively and he's still made some plays the past few weeks. The only thing that has changed is the injury to his ankle. Now, when I talk about making plays I'm not just talking about sacks, INT's, and tackles. I'm also talking about his batting down balls, and defending passes.

Hopefully he'll be close to 100% for the Colts.

I didn't know he had an ankle injury, though it was an arm. Nevertheless, our "swapping" defense takes a lot of work. Used to be we'd have linebackers milling around and Bruschi would shoot through the middle for a sack.

Now, it's mostly just linebackers milling around. I rarely see linebackers rushing free up the middle, so considering what we give up with the 1-4-6, I don't see what we gain anymore.

*I meant up to speed as far as switching around to confuse opponents. That takes time.*
