Bill Belichick was in a good mood Wednesday morning, tossing out zingers at a reporter who pressed him repeatedly over the course of the summer and fall about the health of Rob Gronkowski, as well as a jab at the Jets.

But you can’t blame Belichick for feeling chipper this week: He’s helping draw up a game plan to try to take down Browns offensive coordinator Norv Turner.

Historically, Belichick has always pretty much had his way with the new Browns OC. In the 11 meetings since Belichick took over the Patriots prior to the start of the 2000 season, he’s enjoyed a 9-2 edge against Turner-coached offenses. No matter where Turner has been -- either as an offensive coordinator with the Chargers (2001) or Dolphins (2002-03) or as a head coach with the Raiders (2004-05) or Chargers (2007-12) -- Belichick and the Patriots have pretty much played the role of the Globetrotters while Turner and his teams have been left looking like the Washington Generals.
