Parcells Retires

Parcells will resurface as the NY Giants head coach during the 2008 NFL season once Coughlin gets the axe.

I just wonder how much the Dallas Drama may have burnt him out, especially at this point in his career, but if he decides to re-enter the arena, the Giants would be a great fit for him and seems the most likely of all.

In all fairness to "Team Obliviator"-most of his distractions were off the field, and he was actually *the least* of Dallas' problems.

And in all fairness to Jerry Jones-he DID hand over the reigns of player personnel to Bill.(Sure-TO was Jerry's idea, but Bill DID agree to it, contrary to what the national sports media may say). 49/53 on the roster were HIS guys.

With that being said-Bill P just wasn't the same coach he was in NY and NE-alot of his draft picks were busts, especially along the OL(we've had 4 different starting OL in as many years under him). He never gave his coordinators the freedom to run their schemes(i.e. We all thought Sean Payton was a HORRIBLE play-caller here, but look what he did with the Saints).

And surprisingly, he's just been a poor motivator here.(in their Dec games, the players would just come out with no fire, emotion, nor passion) As the seasons would progress, his vanilla schemes and game planning became more and more obvious.

So is this a retirement like when he said he was done with football after coaching the Giants?

Or is this like the retirement after he took his "last coaching job" with the Patriots?

Or is this like his retirement from the Patriots but took a job with the Jets one week ater?

Or is this the like his retirement after he left the Jets because he couldn't devote enough time to being a HC, later to join the Cowboys?

Did he specify which of the above types of retirements this is?
