There must be something of value in 2019, cause NE owns 2703273 picks.

That would give the Pats 12 picks with six picks in the first three rounds. No way the Pats use all those picks. Question will be will this be the year they use draft capital to move up, possibly for that QB to replace Brady or will they continue to trade into future years? I guess that is something to be discussed about 10-11 months from now.

we will have less draft capital in 2019 than we had in 2018

A 2nd or 3rd will be traded by the 3rd pre season game for a player who be better here than they were there.

Is 4 comp picks the most that can be awarded to any one team in any one year?

This makes the extra 3rd we acquired in the last draft for 2019 much more expendable.

We could ship that pick off for a nice extra defensive piece.

We traded a 3rd in 2019 for Shelton. So we have two Comp 3rds and five picks in the top three rounds.

Unless we trade Shaq Mason, a distinct possibility depending on how our other Interior OL men play (at the end of TC). An alternative would be a trade for another player.

The Pats also picked up Detroit's 3rd rounder next year.
