You guys that think a come from behind win is somehow worthless make me laugh. (They almost lost, they almost lost. Wah wah wah.)

What, you think UCLA should rise in the rankings because they almost won? No, you win or you lose. Coming from behind shows character and resolve.

ND won. FL didn't play. So explain to me again why FL jumped ahead of ND?

Great story in ESPN.com. I guess I'm not the only one laughing at this overrated clown's tears.

What Weis said (direct quote): "One of the teams [Tennessee] that jumped us had the same game that we had. They're down, they're playing at home and they win by a field goal. Another team [Florida] that jumped us wasn't even playing. They were home eating cheeseburgers and they end up jumping us. That befuddles me. Tell me how that works? Maybe I'm just stupid. Tell me how that works?"

What Wacky Jacky said Weis said (direct quote): I find it rib-tickling hillarious that any coach of Notre Dame football whines in a press conference of not getting "respect" and "attention" from the media. Give me a break with this.

That's what we call a disconnect with reality, folks.
Hey, no fair introducing direct quotes and facts into an irrational thread. It limits the responses

Florida lost at Auburn the prior week, maybe the voters fixed their mistake of dropping the gators to far down.

Losing on the road to Auburn is not as bad as getting your ass kicked at home by Michigan.

Yeah, it's a pathetic argument. Last time I checked, a TD or FG scored in the final minute of play still counted. If come from behind wins don't count, then Notre Dame beat USC last year.

Perhaps, perhaps not... Losing by 10 to the #7 team or losing by 26 to the team many think is the best in the nation..? Eh, that isn't so significantly better as to thump your chest about....

No, but you're the only one trolling about it... Here's a question I know you won't answer: If ND is so "over-rated" then how do you explain the fact that the computers have ND ranked higher than the "people polls"...? I guess the computers are just biased in favor of ND...?

Sounds to me that "Charlie and the Overrated Factory" aren't happy with their inflated ranking considering he's crying over dropping. When ND loses to USC, they'll drop like a stone. Doesn't the computer use "people polls" as part of their ranking system? Either way, I can't wait to read what Weis has to say after their next loss.

I think Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, and maybe Arkansas would smack ND around. Over in the ACC, I think ND would lose to Clemson and BC. If Weis is such a great coach (which he isn't), he should take over that pathetic UConn program and turn them into winners.

And I think ND would beat all those teams. See..? We can play this "what if" game all day long and neither of us can ever prove anything.

Yeah, that makes sense. Because when you're a great college football coach, you'd much rather be at UConn than at Notre Dame And if Mike Kryzyzewski was such a great basketball coach, he'd be at UC-Santa Barbara and not Duke.

And you know Michigan is better than Auburn, HOW?

"Losing by 10" Thank god the voters actually watch the game, and not just look at the final score.

I will take my own eyeball test, FLORIDA, TENNESSEE and AUBURN and most likely LSU are significantly better than NOTRE DAME.

Have you watched any SEC football?

I am stating my opinion that Michigan is better than Auburn. Of course, the sportswriters, coaches, and computers all agree with me, but you already knew that, right...?

You cannot possibly, honestly believe that's the case, do you...? Thank you for proving you really just don't know what you are talking about!! Do you even know who you're talking about when you say "the voters"..? Who exactly do you think are "the voters"...?

NEWSFLASH: Most of "the voters" watch a much smaller selection of football games than you and I do (it's one of the dirty little secrets of the whole voting process). Do you think the Big-10, Pac-10 or Big XII coaches are watching SEC games...? What do they do, tape all the games and watch all of them when they get home Saturday night..? LOL!! What about a sportswriter assigned to cover, for example, the USC Trojans...? He arrives at the Coliseum at 9 in the morning and leaves at 9 at night. You think he's taping and watching all the SEC, ACC and Big-10 games..? Nope. That guy may know more about the Pac-10 than anyone, but when it comes to the ACC, SEC, Big East, etc, he's watching the highlights on SportsCenter and that's it.

And I disagree. Notre Dame would give any of those teams a run for their money, and go at least 3-1. We can play this "what if" game all day long and never come to any conclusions, so have at it.

Probably more than you have.

(You clearly missed my point on UConn). He walked into a program with a good QB and strong recruits and is merely moving Ty Willingham's pieces around. If he started from scratch or took over a pathetic program, I'm sure he'd be < .500 by now.

Here's SI's take on Weis.
