OT: Wade Phillips looks like an idiot

and Deb...thank you..."can't make that call at the end like that!!!!!!!"...remember what all the haters said?...well....THAT excuse is gone now...time for the federal investigation of Jetdell and the ongoing criminal conspiracy he's been the lynchpin of since his inception.

It was eerie how similar that hold was, and how it still stings almost 4 years later.

I'm not holding my breath on the Jetdell stuff....

Phillips may be an idiot, but he didn't call a shovel pass. The wide receivers all went deep and the clear intent was to throw a Hail Mary (also stupid given the incredibly small likelihood of success, but that's another story). When the pocket broke down before he could get it off, Romo stupidly decided to do a sort of backhand flip to the back rather than just covering up and going down. I know Parcells supposedly liked him, but Romo just has some horrible instincts and a stunning ability to make the wrong move at critical times.

This!!!
Bledsoe like.

If the Dallas right tackle continues to suck....Jerry Jones may toss a big pick for the "unapologetic one" and convert him to tackle.....just dreamin out loud

Greetings,
I knew I was not the only one thinking that. Just google "Wade Phillips" "looks lost" or "looking lost" and you will not be short on results. I honestly think they will be around 10-6, and maybe even win their division. But come playoff time they will get their butts kicked.

Peace,
Celticboy04

He's a solid coordinator, but in over his head as a HC. Jerry likes to have him around though because he can push him around easily.

With the clock ticking towards 2 minutes and Washington facing a 3rd and short, Wade had to decide if he was going to burn a timeout to conserve time or wait until after the 2-minute warning in case Washington converted, and the camera showed Wade absolutely lost.

They eventually let the clock go down to 2 minutes, but at no point did it seem like Wade decided it so much as his indecision led to that outcome by default. He just stared straight ahead wondering what to do.

No way the Cowboys go to the Super Bowl with him as HC.

The question needs to be asked.. when did Wade Phillips stop looking like an idiot? I wonder if the Patriots can rape a first rounder out of the Cowboys for Mankins if he's intent on leaving.

I'd take Tashard Choice, an OLB or a DE - they seem to be deep there.

he has no discipline

I've felt the Cowboys had as much or more talent than anyone in the league over the past three years. To me they've always lacked discipline and execution at key moments. I've always believed that's a reflection on your coach.

Hell of a way to end a game. Cowboys fans are going to ***** about that, but it was definitely the right call.

Yep. The hold on that play was eerily similar to this hold:

YouTube - David Tyree's AMAZING Catch

Hate to bring it up, but on the biggest play of the game, watch Thomas (playing RDE) get grabbed around the neck by the OLineman. Same hold as in last night's game.

The difference in the game? Yep, in both cases.

<sigh>

He's always been lost as a HC, thats why its a joke that the c-boys are a favorite to win the SB.

Bingo. That team will never win anything with that SFB leading them. I love it cuz "Bum" is a puppet for Jerry Jones, who thinks he knows it all. That team is the biggest farce going. Talented no doubt, but coachless on the sideline, and leaderless on field.

This!!!
Bledsoe like.
Years ago after some of Drews performances i would say "Bledsoe has a million dollar arm and a ten cent brain" But i did and do appreciate what he did here.

The parallel in my world is the abusive, bully CEO who wants a weak HR VP so he doesn't get challenged on his behavior. Jones has experienced having brighter stars around him and now wants someone dim and passive.
