Marijuana gets you banned for a year but if you test positive for cocaine they're "confident he'll come out of this stronger for it like the champion that he is."

Maybe it's just because I live in Miami and we sprinkle that stuff on our corn flakes, but I'm stunned that the UFC cares enough to screen for coke. I guess they are taking that legitimate sport talk seriously.

I will always laugh at Tank Abbott knocking some scrub out so badly that the guy's arms went stiff in the air while he was on his back and then Abbott looked at him, thought about it for a second, and mocked him. Dude was animal.

Reading up on this, some folks feel the blow can help you cut weight. But as you imply, I doubt that's why he was taking it and there are numerous other methods out there to cut weight.

I agree. Rec drugs does not make you a better athlete and the harder ones can only hurt you. We are just opening a can of worms by testing for this.

If Jones does coke, this does not make him a better fighter
If Josh Gordon smokes weed this does not make him a better fighter.

I don't want sports to be the moral high ground. Test for steroids and PEDs but the rest leave it alone
