OT - So the Chiefs are in the playoffs??

Can someone tell me how this is possible.

Easy one... Chiefs and Broncos both ended up with 9 -7 records. 1st tie breaker between teams from same division is head to head. They split the season match ups 1-1. The 2nd tie breaker between 2 teams tied from the same division is wins within the division. Chiefs were 4-2 in the AFC West this year while the Broncos were 3-3 in the AFC West this year. Therefore, Chiefs win the wild card playoff tie breaker.

Because the Broncos and Bengals are idiots who blew their chance to have the last WC spot (Bengals lost to go 8-8; Cheifs won tie breaker w/ Denver w/ both teams at 9-7).

Herm had major luck on his side. The Chiefs were the least likely of the teams left to make it as an AFC wild card team. They needed a Jags loss, Titan loss, Cinci loss and Denver loss. 3 out of the 4 lost at home as favorites.

Well, it's really quite simple: KC beat some NFC teams and some AFC teams, but maybe not as many as Denver or Cincy, but that doesn't really matter toooooo much, because the refs may have been bought off seeing as they're only part-time employees. PLUS the stars have lined up this year, and the snows of Kilamanjaro were heavier on Christmas day, and some guy in Kansas City finally got his lucky Chiefs jersey back from the dry-cleaners (it's been in there since '03)... BANG! miracle happened... Well, a miracle for Indy
