OT: Red Auerbach dead at 89

The man had such an aura . . . much of the stuff thought about him by the opposition may not have been true, but if they thought the Garden floor had dead spots known only to the Celts or Red turning up the heat in the visitor's locker room on a hot spring playoff day, Red knew it gave his team an advantage and he did nothing to dispell those rumours.

What an icon. May God bless Red. Red blessed us.
 
RIP Red.I am too young to really know much of the man.But I know he is a legend around the Boston area,and To the Celts.So,It is truly a sad day.
 
Goodbye Red, thanks. Hope the Pats find some way to pay tribute tomorrow night with something on their uniforms.
