OT: Payton called Peyton before the Saints/Colts game

Jay Glazer just reported on FSN Pro Football Preview that the Saints coach called Manning on Sunday before the game to tell him that the Saints almost brought in a recently cut Colts backup QB... "we came this close to bringing him in, getting the family secrets, getting all your audibles, all your little stunts... but at the last second we said, 'you know what? We're not going to do it, we're going to try to beat you guys fair and square."

Umm.... okay.
