Gurantee coach k complains bout The game being in South carolina
It was scheduled to be in NC but was moved because of the NC bathroom law. So coach K's beef would be with NC politicians, and he's already been outspoken about that.

Yes I'm aware it should've been in North Carolina. But the committee purposefully keeps teams close to home. They knew South Carolina would have virtual home games. Just seen coach k, as great as he is, be sore a loser after games. Remember last year?

Crowd was mostly SC AND UNC fans - perfect for the Gamecocks. Duke will whine about something - always do. How about playing more than about 6 players - your whole team won't foul out.

A huge amount of brackets in the U.S. had Duke going to the Final Four. See ya, Duke.

That's my Alma Mater. He's done quite a good job this year considering that he's had to completely change their way of playing due to losing his Bigs at the start. They'll have a hell of a time dealing with Purdue's massive front line though. Should be entertaining, few teams can deal with the Jayhawks on the perimeter and they'll have to get to the hole repeatedly to get Swanigen and Haas in foul trouble. Frank Mason III is one of my all-time favourites and is tough as nails and the kind of senior leader that takes teams all the way. Don't count them out.

My problem with KAN is that from a recruiting standpoint only Kentucky supercedes them in landing McDonalds All Americans.

Self should have more than one NC and two Final Fours in 14 years there.

Then again I said the same thing about Roy Williams when he coached there.

Neither can ROy Williams. Tom Izzo does not impress me much either. Same with Dean Smith. Coach Cal? please.I like Pitino, COach K is great. Calhoun was great. Jury is still out on Sean Miller
Calhoun was god. Damn shame what has happened in Storrs.

SC's 65 2nd half points most allowed by any Coach K team in any single half ever.

Yeah, I watched them play UNC in the ACC tournament and was stunned to see them come back and win. They were getting absolutely pounded on the offensive glass and their defense was borderline nonexistent. Essentially, if this edition of the Duke squad couldn't sink 3's, they were destined to get beat. For a Coach K team, their defense was atrocious. I'm no Duke hater. As a matter of fact, I'm one of the few people in America that doesn't feel strongly about them one way or another. That said, Grayson Allen has one of the most punchable faces I've seen since CHB.

Most of the teams who rely on players that stay 1 or 2 years do not play good defense anymore. This is why college basketball is now an inferior product.

I guess Ollie sort of gets a pass considering all the season ending injuries to top players including to two top freshman. That being said they should've been better. Luckily they are still getting good players. Ollie doesn't really strike me as a great X and O guy. But he's a great motivator. The fact they can't really develop a big man is concerning

Well, you'd be wrong. North Carolina (66) and Duke (56) are numbers 1 and 2 in McD's AAs followed by Kentucky (44) whereas Kansas (35) usually has one plus role players. And yes, he's done better than Roy who was criticized for doing poorly in the tournament the whole time he was at KU. Thirteen Big 12 Championships and 28 NCAA Tournaments in a row, hard to complain.

There was nothing in my sporting fandom that was better than watching Kansas playing a top ten team at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence.

So Self has met your expectations? Thats kinda what you are saying.

To the NBA or to the way it used to be? If it's the former? LOL. If it's the latter? I agree.

Pretty much. I was there when Danny Manning was leading an absolutely loaded Kansas team that lost to Georgetown in the Sweet 16. They won the following year after most of that team graduated. Go figure. That's why I love the tournament, you just never know.

I'm so freaking old I remember when Manning was a freshman. They had Dreiling and the Kellogg kid was their leading scorer. They lost to Duke in the semis one year i forget but beat them when Laettner was a fresh I think.

I pulled hard for them when the beat OU. What a great game that was. Billy Tubbs was a jerk.

Yeah, he was just an amazing college basketball player. I watched him take over games so routinely, you could just tell he was at a different level. Such a tragedy what happened to his NBA career.

That Oklahoma game was one I'll never forget. Still sends shivers up my spine when I think about it.

Lol who the **** actually had anyone besides Villanova or Duke making it from that region. Still have 3 of my 4 teams left making the final four. Arizona, UNC, and Michigan

Not me. I had an Elite 8 of Villanova vs. Duke, Gonzaga vs. Arizona, Kansas vs. Michigan, and UNC vs. Kentucky.
