I always liked Brees, he's a great guy . It would be sad if he has just declined, I am more inclined to believe that his recent sub -par game is due to an injury that isn't being disclosed.

They've gotten into the evil circle of cap hell. It seems like every season they have cap problems. So they restructure some contracts to give them a larger signing bonus, which gives them cap space. But it also pushes the problem into the next year. Which forces them to keep players who are guaranteed more than they are worth, because of the restructure. And release guys because they can't afford to keep the ones they want, because of the evil circle of other signing bonus restructures.

Amazing that many of us had forgot the special clause in the CBA that gave the Jets millions of needed cap relief. That and the Revis tampering penalty of $100K are MAJOR story opportunities neglected by the NY centric press.
