Ex Patriot TE/Asst OL coach Jeff Davidson appears to be replacing just fired Maurice Clarett as Offensive Coordinator. According to radio reports, Crennel was forced to make the move by the GM and owner. I think Romeo will be on the move at the end of the year if things don't get more competitive soon.

Ahhhh yes, soothsayer F.B.N. called this one correctly 1 month ago.
It makes alot of sense....Robiske was a better choice however.

OT: Feeling Bad For Romeo Crennel
I feel bad for Romeo..already 0-2 this year. From the start he was not in the inner circle with the GM and that was a problem. But, his biggest mistake of all...taking his friend Maurice Carthon (http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/team/...tail.php?id=33) with him to be the OC....that's going to be his downfall.

You get perhaps 1 chance to be a HC...it is not the time to stick by friends Romeo...Carthon has to go if at all possible. Also, having your nephew Carl Crennel II(http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/team/...tail.php?id=46) on your staff to oversee or help Maurice? WTF is that Romeo...Belichicks kid holds a clipboard.

Worst of all...how can you have Terry Robiske (http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/team/...tail.php?id=17) coaching your receivers .... a guy who had some success as a HC and OC....while Maurice Carthon runs your offense. sorry Maurice...maybe some day you will be a good OC, you s#cked at Dallas and you still s#ck now... the clock is ticking on Romeo...best you step aside while Romeo still has a chance.

So the OC has little expierience and was not a good OC in Dallas...he is helped by your nephew from Arena Ball and 25 year coaching veteran Robiske is working with receivers who cannot get the ball....Ohio...you have problems.

Maurice Clarett? Does prison allow him to call the offense on Sundays in Cleveland? Your thinking of Maurice Carthon.

Obviously Maurise Carthon.

And the story I saw said Davidson was "co offensive coordinator" with Robiskie. Not sure how that will shake out.

As did much of the rest of the football world. (Well, maybe not everyone, but the rumors have been out there on PFT etc for a while).

Yeah, yeah, it's late. And you're right.

Maurice CARTHON.

What I find interesting is that apparently Romeo was hesitant to do this, and the GM and Owner had to take the initiative. THat does not bode well for the HC of he CB's. Here is a snippet from ESPN.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2636626

Browns owner Randy Lerner, general manager Phil Savage and former Brown great and team consultant Jim Brown spoke with head coach Romeo Crennel during Cleveland's bye week about replacing Carthon, a source told ESPN Insider's Jeremy Green. Crennel was opposed to a change and stuck with Carthon for Sunday's home game against Denver. But after another dismal offensive performance and speculation that Crennel might indeed lose his job after the season if he did not acquiesce with the front office, the decision was made to dismiss Carthon.

Man, I can't help but feel bad for Romeo. He earned his way to a HC job and winds up with that train wreck in Cleveland. Getting ****e-canned by them would probably be good for his health.

Wow, Maurice Chevalier calling the Browns' offense from beyond the grave. That's like Gary Coleman playing nose tackle, or Mick Jagger coaching Notre Dame.
