We’re directly in the path here in southern Illinois. Traffic is gonna be f***ing stupid.

We lived in Oregon during the 2017(?) eclipse. Traffic was f***cking stupid. Took us 6 hours to make a(n usually) 1.5 hr drive >,<

Where did you get the glasses? Can they be bought locally? Forecast here in eastern Mass. looks good for Monday.

Yep. University of Southern Illinois at Carbondale was at the epicenter. And The Highway that goes straight through my hometown connects Carbondale and a major interstate that serves St. Louis. I lived 10 miles from the high school where I coached. Left my house at 3:30, didn’t arrive at off-season workout until 5:30. Missed the whole damn workout.

The difference between 99% and 100% is like nothing you could ever imagine - truly a sight to see at least once in your life. I saw the last eclipse in Idaho and it was the most dramatic thing I have ever seen by far.

I'm going to be driving up to Vermont where it's total - weather should be good. (Unlike Texas!)

Head West or East then North?
Ummm....

Well when I leave the driveway I can go north/south, but I don't think that's the level of detail you're looking for. Not sure what you're asking. It's West to 93N from here.

Just ordered some glasses from Amazon, will be here tomorrow, wasn't going to partake in the viewing but changed my mind..
Will not get the full eclipse in RI, but read where we will be 85-90%... that will be good enough.

Guess it depends how far your North is?

Definitely wear the glasses because you never know what could happen to you if you don't.
