On the other hand, their QB is Mark "butt fumble" Sanchez. So I don't know how lucky we can consider them to be.

Thought I might be tired of it by now.

Aaaaaaaaaand I'm not.

With this happening, and Mark Sanchez at QB for Denver...

Your 2016 AFC West champs, the Oakland Raiders.

I actually would not be surprised. Denver could very well miss the playoffs.

What is Houston's issue again?

they are counting on their defense to carry them, thats why they dont care who the qb is.

Despite the situation with Mr. Houston, not sure Denver is better than KC either. They almost weren't last year.

If Sanchez just does his basic mediocre routine (think 2010-11 Jets) then I think Denver will absolutely compete for the West. He's not THAT bad, though this could potentially be hilarious, he'll be back to a run-first offense and he's got a couple damn good WR targets. They caught a lot of breaks last year in individual games/matchups and their defense - not taking anything away from a historic performance in the AFCCG and SB - is already down a couple bodies. Won't be the same animal. Better defenses than the 2015 Broncos have been taken down by less (see '86 Bears, '01 Ravens).

Peak Sanchez (2009-2010) >>>>>>>> 2015 Manning/Osweiler

Good luck with that.

A far more important factor than how their defense was playing last year, was how decimated their AFC opponents were, and how relatively healthy Denver was. They'll need the same luck (which is extremely unlikely) for them to even have a chance - and even then, they're still not likely to sniff a SB, because their competition improved over the offseason while they have taken a step back.

I expect them to sign another another QB before camp.

The QB position is not that important when teams need to overplay the run and they have a good defense that gives them good field position. Who do the Donks play this season out of division and conference?

There's not much else out there other than Fitz. RGIII? Ugh.
