OT: Cousins Trade Could Come into Play This Weekend

I'm surprised Cousins is still on the team. The Falcons are kind of dragging this out for no reason. They need to trade him this week or he'll be a problem going forward.

niners should trade for Cousins, then trade Purdy to Steelers and draft Sanders or Dart

Interesting idea, although I would trade Purdy then wait for next years QB class to draft a QB.

they have to think long and hard about giving Purdy $50mm a year. He's a purgatory guy: just good enough to pay, not good enough to win when paid that much.

He has a No Trade clause, he's said that he won't be going anywhere until after he sees teams need AFTER the draft.
He wants to start.

This only impacts us if the Browns trade for Cousins. The other teams pick significantly after us. Steelers at #21 and Vikings at #24.

If we trade back, I'm super doubtful it will be down to the 20's. I'm thinking in the teens.

Cousins to Cleveland seems to be a done deal as long as they don't pick a quarterback. That is apparently what Cousins has been waiting on.

True, but any exchange of picks - especially for any type of notable trade - muddies the board and could change things depending on how it goes down.

I think any buying team will wait till after the draft and for the new league year to begin. He'll fetch a 2026 4th or something.
