Reid ranks fourth all time in regular-season wins with 258, trailing only Don Shula (328), George Halas (318) and Belichick (302). His 26 postseason wins are five behind Belichick.

Six more seasons... let's say 12 regular season wins a year.... that gets him to 330, two more than Shula.

Six more postseasons... let's say 1.5 wins per year... that gets him to 35, four more than Belichick.

I don't begrudge the man for breaking anyone's records. He's been a very successful, first ballot HoF coach.

FWIW I don't begrudge him either. He's a great coach. And if Belichick can't knock Shula out of the record book, then I want Andy to do it.

It's just starting to feel like the 2001-2018 time was like... a dream? A good one, though.

Health is Andy's biggest concern. People his size break down earlier and harder than the rest. He's already going through it, and lasting 6 more seasons is going to be an uphill battle.

Not going to root against a man's health so yeah, I'll just tip my cap to whatever he does.

Edit: though I'd be kinda pissed if he passes BB but not Shula.

Personally, I don't think Andy will actually coach another 6 years. That's just the length of the deal. In reality, he probably goes 3-4 more years. He was talking about retirement just this year. He's 66 and has had health problems.

Beyond that, the Chiefs probably aren't winning 12 games a year. Their division will become more competitive, as will the rest of the AFC. 10 wins a year with some variance up or down is more likely. Let's say 10 wins a year for another 4 years, would put him at 298 - still behind Belichick for fourth, assuming Bill doesn't come back and coach another team next year and extend that lead.

It does seem like he has a decent shot of catching or passing Bill in postseason wins however. A lead of 5 is not huge.

Andy was always the bigesst threat to Bill having records imo. As long as they have Mahomes, they will be in the mix.

Coach is good at what he does. The fact that he didn’t win the big one until he teamed up with an all timer like Mahomes doesn’t detract from his skill as a leader. Just like every other past and future HoF HC, he’s linked to an exceptional QB.

Good for him. Let the memory of McNabb throwing up at the SB be forever engrained on our brains.

All things end.

I think we were so very very lucky to have the best coach and the best player to ever play, together, on one team. I know we will not get to experience that again. If they nail this draft, develop whoever the QB is, and surround him with great people, on the field and off, then maybe, just maybe, they can win a SB. I think to ask them to go win 2-3 more with the next regime is an unreachable dream. You won't find two people driven for success like Tom Brady and Bill Belichick and be able to have them on one team.

I am not sad it's over. Even now, I am sit here and I am in awe to think that my lifelong favorite team was the best to ever do it. I am forever grateful.

Good for Andy and really good for Mahomes. Not having to break in a new coach will be huge for him.

He's got a good chance to catch Bill and Shula. Though he'll probably be short of 6 SB wins.

Either way I think this just goes to show how impressive Bill and Shula's win totals are. Reid is 66 with an amazing resume and still has a decent (not insurmountable) way to go.

Not sure which **** show of an AFC team will stand in their way in the near future.

Folks whined like someone stole their candy when the Pats had an "easy" schedule every year. This Chiefs team has it easier.

It wasn't that long ago that the AFC West looked like it was going to be a very tough division and other than KC they all fell apart.

Pretty much a done deal at this point. Barring a knee injury that knocks Mahomes out for a season.

Mahomes is going to turn 29 bwoy I thought he was a lot older with good health Reid will smash both records.

Yeah shows how far we are from the iron of the league if we screw tomorrow nights Draft up we'll be doing that for a long time.

andy has finally learned to win when it counts....he's a solid coach

but there's no way he's coaching the length of this contract......coaching has already taken a lot away from him, i just don't see him lasting much longer

He could knock and few pounds off and become a hunk stranger things have happened.

It better now be time for a decade long title drought

The front office reupped too.

Good for him. My only knock against him is that he probably should have done a better job raising his kids even if that meant winning fewer games.

It is amazing how much he learned and how much smarter he got once Patrick Mahomes became his full time QB.
