Being a stooge is no excuse. He was the one that forfeited his right to be called a journalist when he abandoned his ethics to write the story and he should be held accountable. If that means him losing his job, I am all for it.

You mean reporting or "creating" a story? That piece of crap article was engineered from the start for maximum sensationalistic impact. Even if there is a shred of credibility behind it (which is highly doubtful), its timing and execution were reprehensible.

I have not purchased one issue of the Herald since SB weekend...and I never will again. Even if there are no Boston Globe's left because it's a quality newspaper and they sold out, I still won't buy one. I'll buy a Providence Journal instead.
