Parker (Steelers) gets a TD. Use the football like a basketball passing it under his legs and then shoots the ball like a basketball to the hoop and no flag for excessive celebration. Hey, I love the celebrating and wish they never penalized for it but, THEY DO. There is just absolutely NO consistency with the rule.

I thought the same thing. If shooting the football like it is a basketball isn't using it as a prop, then what is?

Once again this is a league over-reaction to the Patriots' success.

That's a great clip!

But yeah, what an AWFUL rule.....seriously, let the players do whatever they want. Some will be classy, some funny, whatever. If a guy goes over the top, leave it to the other team to try and knock his block off.

There are certain rules that the league will to call more strictly then others. Like the no spiking the ball, beside during a TD, rule. They called it a bunch of times last year, not at all this year.

We all know these rules are a joke, and so do the refs that's why they are so inconsistent.

I said the same thing when Clarke did it...passed the ball through his legs like a basketball right in front of the ref and nothing. The week before, the Pat gets flagged for putting the ball under his shirt.

He should have been flagged and will likely be fined $10k for using the ball as a prop. Another Steeler who can be expecting a letter from the Commish is Lamar Woodely. His excessively violent sack of Rivers where he whips him to the turf will net a fine (though didn't get a flag). This play was literally exactly like a sack he did earlier in the year on Jason Campbell that didn't get a flag but got a fine.

Clarke wasn't fined.

But Parker actually shot the ball like a basketball, which is what I think will draw the fine. (Unless Clarke did the the same thing; but I think just moving the ball through your legs is much different than actually "shooting" it).
