Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports the Seattle Seahawks have released WR Kevin Kasper. There are now 12 wide receivers on the Seahawks' roster.

The New York Giants have signed free agent RB DeCori Birmingham (49ers) to a two-year contract with base salaries of $275,000 (2006) and $360,000 (2007).

Interesting to see about that..Kasper is not a bad player..but really NOT one who would add much here at this time..we have plenty in a similar group...Birmingham was supposed to be in NFLE, but I don't think he was drafted by a team..Thought he was signed by the Jets at some point..not bad at all..young RB...There were wideouts need in TC last year and he and Charles were cut and never made it.
