Thank you Matt for a terrific season. I know I for one made a few negative remarks on this forum at the beginning of the year about you. I apologize profusely. It was an exciting season, and you played way beyondexpectations. Wherever you go next year, I'll be rooting for you. Just don't go to the Jets.

I am very thankfull for his contribution to the team this season. Our backup QB greatly exceeded my mediocre expectations. I am happy to see that he will make tens of millions as a starting QB in the NFL. He deserves it because he is demonstrably a better than average NFL QB. He's easily the 2nd best QB of the 12 or so in the AFCE.

He will be franchised and traded. The Pats won't just let him waltz over to the Jets.

Does anyone remember what the pre-season over-under was for wins? I seem to remember 12, which means we were off by one.

This shows Cassel is a very good QB, surrounded by good talent, and with great coaching.

Not fair to say that TB was worth only 1 -- I think the D is just not champioship calibur, and scoring a few quick TDs as TB did made the job easier. (Although the Pats did not give up many points in the playoffs last year.)

Lest we forget...the IR list was HUGE this season and worse yet we played several games with BJGE as our starting RB while Morris and Jordan missed game after game. We also had Seymour, Wilfork and Warren miss games.

Matt Cassel is a legit QB in this league. He is going to cash in next year, as he should. Congrats Matt..and thanks. Please franchise and trade him (to Minnesota or Chicago)?

I felt that Cassel was a great this year. He showed that with a little time He could be a winner in this league. Let's hope that he stays here if he is needed here. If he does go to another team that good luck. Again Great JOB.

Thank you for a great eye opening season. I wrote some of the worst anti Cassel posts, i will glady eat them all. I also apologise Matt in front of the whole board for being one of his biggest detrqcters during the pre-season calling for you to be cut. Was i ever wrong ,but it didn't take long for me to see the ability you posses. Thanks again for keeping this season entertaining,and keeping us in the hunt till the finish.

Cassel proved A LOT of people wrong (me included). Throughout the season, he became one of my all-time favorite Patriots. That touchdown pass to Moss against the Jets is easily one of the greatest throws I have ever seen.

Wow, was I wrong on Cassell, my deepest apologies for having called him every name in the start of the season. Matt proved he has a HUGE heart and showed it in almost every game after mid season. HE was just great yesterday, played like a real pro.
