Should have thrown it again. If incomplete, they would have punted it from near mid field with less than thirty seconds.
Or there could have been another Clowney fumble for 6.

Rush was getting home a lot more than they would probably like, they're up by 1, and get the ball back. Why risk a turnover?

throw a quick out and try and get the 10 for the 1st....low risk from both the pass rush and the INT

it was a little too conservative, but understandable based on the previous two throws

Solder hasn't been the same since his cancer and subsequent surgery; he's got to go.

This is on Brady, too. He isn't as sharp or quick, he seems to be lacking focus. McDaniels, too. There seems to be an aura of nonchalance and arrogance on the offensive side of the ball. They realize their talent and are attempting to accomplish and implement certain concepts to create the illusion of offensive diversity and well-roundedness. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Call what *works*, not what you *want to work*.

@luuked: what specifically did you "dislike" about this post? I could see how one may find the content disagreeable, but to I struggle to see what could be 'disliked' about the above post. I'd appreciate it if you could share with me what exactly you didn't like about the post. Maybe we could find some common ground and have a better understanding of each other's perspectives on the first half. A little empathy and healthy discourse would be welcomed in an otherwise toxic game-thread (as they always are).

Two crappy throws by Brady, no reason to screw yourself over on 3rd and long before halftime. Not a sexy but reasonable decision to run a draw and see if you can make something happen.

I'd understand people not getting the play call if Brady just took a knee but draw was absolutely the right call in this situation.

can we see a few more screens in the 2nd half, please?

or even A screen?

Risk a turnover with 30 seconds left and the other team with no timeouts? For a chance at a field goal in a tight game? Sounds worth the risk to me
Maybe until you realize that the same situation ended up as a touchdown for the Texans earlier in the quarter. They're at midfield and the clock in Brady's head has sped up a lot. Take the lead, figure things out, and get the ball back after the half.

Time to adjust!!!

As bad as this half was still ahead by 1. I'll take it

Fouts is fcking awful!!!!....Solder was responsible for both devestating sacks on Brady.....blind side exploited constantly

half time quick thoughts

1. The refs gifted the Texans 6 points....so far

2. I forgot how bad this broacast crew was.

3. The Pats offense has greatly aided the Texans defense - Trip, being a yard short, the "fumble"

4. It should be noted that on at least 2 of the \3 sacks were caused by more by Brady not being able to throw on time, than on missed blocks by the OL. On the TD they gave them Brady was clearly looking for his 2nd choice

5. Brady had 2 bad misses on the final drive. A wasted opportunity

6. Watson has done a really nice job of escaping pressure and throws a nice ball. He looks like the real deal, but just not today....so far. I'd be happy if I were a Texans fan. He could be the QB they've been looking for for a long time

OT..

Panthers lost Greg Olsen and Ryan Kalil last week.

Panthers lost Kelvin Benjamin and Thomas Davis so far today.

Texans are playing tight bump and run and are squatting on those routes.

They showed it on the Replay. Cooks drew coverage off him. No WR operates in a vacuum. Everything on offense is interconnected. Reminds you how scary this offense would be if we had kept Bennett, Blount and everyone was healthy.

yeah, i saw that......it's just comical how open the kid ends up so often

Or there could have been another Clowney fumble for 6.

You could say that on any down. You don't play to not lose. You play to win. If we were up by 15, I would agree, but we are up by only 1.

3rd down defense needs to be better. They still have a bad habit of giving these cushions when it's like 1rst down and forever.

if it's not there, it's in the 3rd row of the sidelines

downside would have been it would have forced the punt......i get the call, it's safe call

i just dislike safe sometimes
