Yes.. if the clock had run out, the quarter ends which means the Saints kick towards the closed end of the stadium at the start of the 2nd quarter.. much easier than kicking into the wind from the open end of the stadium. Since BB called timeout, he stopped the clock, forcing the Saints to kick towards the open end, because the clock doesn't start again until the ball is snapped on the next play.

I don't like how the NFL now rarely shows replays of certain calls. They don't want fans getting mad at officials. That way the game looks more fair even if the Refs mess up.

They don't show a replay of the penalty but they show a replay of the opposing team's player or coach asking for the penalty. Lol
