This really seems like a "connect the dots of BoB contract expiring" and bb saying "cant change offenses mid year" plus saban. I really dont think there are any actual sources behind it but just some clickbait to land on game day.
Also after emphasizing so much to move the shanahan scheme and move away from the older style of offense , why would they bring back BoB especially if he leaves in 2 yrs ?

He is but isnt above generating stories. What is there in the report which has any solid info other than BoB's contract expiring ?. "Solid contender" means nothing . its an easy to get out of the story if it doesnt happen.
