Comments:
Things are settling out on the interior. Chris Barker and Tre Jackson are gone. David Andrews got a 3 year extension. James Ferentz (C) is a long shot, but plays our thinnest position, center. He’s all there is behind Andrews/Karras, unless you view Mason/Thuney as emergency options. Douglas and Farris appear to have ascended to potential backup guards.

Where did all these tackles come from? Vollmer retired, but otherwise Solder, Cannon, Fleming, and Waddle are all back. Joined by Croston, Garcia, Jelks, McDermott, and Rich. That’s 9 tackles. 9 tackles!!!

Cole Croston
2017 NFL Draft: Iowa offensive lineman Cole Croston gains shot with New England

Croston, a 6-foot-5, 314-pound tackle, agreed to terms with the New England Patriots. An original walk-on, Croston arrived at Iowa at 225 pounds and built himself into a 300-pound tackle. Croston combined for 18 starts over his final two seasons at left tackle and right tackle.

Andrew Jelks
5 undrafted Vanderbilt players going to NFL camps

Jelks, a former Henry County standout and 2013 Freshman All-American, has not played since 2014 because of season-ending knee injuries in the past two preseason camps, but he rehabilitated and participated at Vanderbilt’s Pro Day in March.

Max Rich

This is the easiest position to develop a player.

9 tackles...

...that's a lot of beef.
