Re: Myers- Jets vs Eagles next year SB 46

When was the last time that Myers was right about anything?

Re: Myers- Jets vs Eagles next year SB 46

Drunken obnoxious fan-bases collide.

Indy better add on to the city Jail.

Re: Myers- Jets vs Eagles next year SB 46

No wonder Curtis Martin didn't make the HOF. Myers was charged with presenting his case to the committee.

Re: Myers- Jets vs Eagles next year SB 46

For a week Indy will be the "I'm a fake tough guy" capital of the world. It will take Dbaggery to an entirely diffierent level.

Re: Myers- Jets vs Eagles next year SB 46

I think he's forgetting that a new CBA implies a salary cap, which means the Jets are screwed.

Re: Myers- Jets vs Eagles next year SB 46

gary meyers said the jets NEED to move Antonio Cromartie to Free Safety to make the SuperBowl. LOL. Right a DBack that doesnt tackle? Gary Meyers is completely lost.

Re: Myers- Jets vs Eagles next year SB 46

Does this guy think of the odds of a team making it to an ACFCG THREE years in a row? Highly unlikely for starters.

Has there ever been one since the Bills of the 80s?...I think the Eagles were there for the NFC,but don't recall any AFC teams.

Re: Myers- Jets vs Eagles next year SB 46

So he thinks that the Jets are going to be better after losing most of Holmes, Edwards, Cromartie, Ellis, Woody, and Tomlinson? Uhh.... okay.

I think you can reasonably project that the Jets will be a contender, but to call them SB favorites is just asinine. Then again, calling anyone SB favorites as of right now is pretty dumb.

Pretty sure you're right on: there was the Eagles making 4 straight earlier this decade, the Bills back in their run, and the Cowboys made 4 straight from 1992-1995. I don't think there are any others, although the Pats making 5 in 7 years is damn close.

Enter the gambling sites:

AlbertBreer Early SB XLVI odds: Packers 7-1; Patriots 8-1; Steelers 10-1; Chargers 12-1; Colts, Saints, Ravens 14-1; Falcons, Cowboys, Jets, Eagles 16-1

Re: Myers- Jets vs Eagles next year SB 46

At this point I am more worried about a lockout potentially screwing the Patriots out another year with Brady. Worse yet, a shortened season could end up with two flukes like the Jest and the Iggles (or worse yet the Seahawks in the Big Game).

I like this part........

There are two things the Jets must do to get to Indianapolis:

Win the AFC East. The Packers were just the fourth team to get to the Super Bowl by winning three playoff games on the road. It's just too hard. The Jets got two-thirds of the way there the last two years. They will find a way to beat out the Patriots during the regular season, then have at least one home game in the wild-card round. More likely, the winner of the AFC East will have a record good enough to get a first-round bye and a home game in the divisional round. """"The Jets have been on the verge the last two years. I think they become finishers in 2011.""""""

The Jets were 4 games behind the Patriots and out of their enormous 10 wins at least 4 of them should of been losses so calling that being on the "verge" is comical.

At this point, the Jets could be Super Bowl contenders or a below .500 team in 2011. They have about 7-8 starters with status up in the air including Holes, Edwards, Cromartie, Harris, Woody, Ellis, Richardson, and Tomlinson.

This could be the year where their consistently trading up for players in the draft come back to haunt them. Yes, they have had a lot of success doing so (Revis, Harris, etc.), but that rips apart their depth. If the 2010 draft ends up being the bust it looks like so far, they have multiple positions where they need young drafted players to step up and play a role with players leaving and they may not have that player on the roster. If the new CBA significantly halts the growth of the cap, then there might be a real issue for them.

I think predictions for the next year's Super Bowl a day after the current Super Bowl are silly. With a team with something like 17 free agents like the Jets, to predict Super Bowl is impossible.

Cowboys? I'd say 33-1...
