Has the Pats taking the following:

The National Football Post | NFP Monday Mock Draft

23. New England Patriots: Sean Smith, DB, Utah

Smith is a tall, fluid defensive back who can come in and fill a variety of roles in the Patriots’ secondary. He possesses rare footwork and balance for a man his size and has the athletic ability to become an impact player in New England.

34. New England Patriots: Clay Matthews, OLB, USC

An ideal outside linebacker in the Patriots’ 3-4 defense.

47. New England Patriots: Jarron Gilbert, DE, San Jose State

An intriguing 5-technique end who’s loaded with upside.

58. New England Patriots: Eric Wood, C, Louisville

A versatile lineman who can play anywhere inside.

Wow!! This would be a great draft.

You can quivel about this player or that player but it looks damn good to me.

I'll feel good about all of our top 4 picks, regardless of whatever position it is, so long as we don't pick the same position twice out of those 4 picks.

Any mock draft with Andre Smith that high gets immediately ignored.

I did not see Smith on Mayocks top 5.

Anybody seen him play.

I like his numbers

I like the first two. I definitely think the first two picks will be some combo of DB & LB. (Though I'm not ruling out a WR.)

However, I can't see the other two picks going to the lines. I really think a WR will end up being called on Day 1.

Very nice, he got all developmental help for all three levels of the defense and Woods can play C or OG.

Does anybody have Smith's 3 cone drill numbers? How do they compare to Wheatley's?

Wheatley ss - 4.2, 3-c 6.74

Smith ss- 4.15, 3-c 6.92

Nice draft. Not my preferred guys, but you can't argue with it.

I'll give this mock 8.5 out of 10 stars.

IMO...

Eric Wood is a 9. Late round talent to eventually move in at OG

Jarron Gilbert is a 9.5. Great size and skill set. Sey's replacement. Would be really happy if Tyson Jackson dropped and the Dolphins took Gilbert instead.

Sean Smith is an 8. Off my radar, but seem to put up decent number. Considering who is still on the board, its not bad. Britton and Beatty are gone at that point.

Clay Matthews is an 8. Least favorite between Barwin and English, but if he is legit, I'll be happy about him.

NFP...

#9 = Andre Smith. Media seems to disagree.

Raji being picked by the Raiders seems elementry, but Al doesn't act that way. But NFP gives them their WR in the second round, so happiness is acquired.

Brace goes way early, but comes into a good situation with the Dolphins.

Cushing to Balt and Harvin to Colts? Geez. They never slow down at getting their strengths back.

Detriots best draft in years.

St. Louis replaces Pace and Holt with Monroe and Britt. Not too bad.

Don't really see the Giants needing to take Donald Brown. Ward or no Ward.

Love to see Lawrence Sidbury Jr. getting some second round love. My second favorite small school player behind Gilbert.

The media always does better with Detroit's picks than Detroit does. 2009 is NOT likely to be Detroit's best draft in years.

I'll give this mock 8.5 out of 10 stars.
