NFL Week 4 Lines & TV Broadcast Info

John Morgan

CBS owns the doubleheader in NFL Week 4, highlighted by Oakland at Denver in the late afternoon time slot. Fox takes advantage of their only broadcast of the Patriots this season in the early game. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will call the game from Foxboro between the Pats and Carolina Panthers.

It's off to the Bears Den for me then, for the 3rd straight time.

The Harrisburg PA affiliates are showing 4 games on Sunday, a very rare event,
though the Pats game isn't one of them.

Los Angeles is getting four games as well, and from what I understand that may happen multiple times this year. It would be nice if everyone could get four games every week. Doing so would lower the value of the Sunday Ticket though, so that's never going to happen.

If I recall correctly NYC and SF/Oakland used to usually only get two games, due to the rule about no other game on tv when the local team is at home. But both areas have had three every week thus far. Not sure if the tv rules have been relaxed, or if circumstances (such as one of those teams playing on Thursday, Sunday or Monday night) have just allowed for that to happen.
