Man, in rugby league in Australia concussions aren't taken all that seriously. However one rugby union international Elton Flatley had to retire because of a series of serious concussions.

Do you think we are going to hear from Ted Johnson about this issue again?

Doesn't O'Callaghan have a history of concussions?

o'callaghan

Doesn't O'Callaghan have a history of concussions?

i believe he does.
he may have been concussed in a game this past season, causing him to sit out 2-3 games.
each concussion makes you more susceptible to additional concussions. o'callaghan may not have a long career.

I think he does...a reason to be worried about him..over time...I think Maher is onto something and the NFL needs to include his research...he's been doing this for years with solid results..he may NOT have all the answers.but certainly some of them..

di think its just unbelievavle that this type of device has been available this long and no one has caught on..

oh and by the way, maroneys injury this season, lets just say that wasnt a "rib injury"

NFL is blindly ignoring some facts it appears...check this out - from todays patriots ledger..good read

http://ledger.southofboston.com/articles/2007/06/19/sports/sports04.txt

The article is about a guy helping to prevent concussions, which is something the NFL should pay attention to but does not mean that they shouldn't be more aggressive in limiting players who have had concussions. It seems that repeated concussions can have major impact on players lives, it only makes sense to emphasize that they are a serious injury and that playing through it is not an option.
