Well, this is a story. According to the ref-watching site FootballZebras.com, the NFL fixed performance grades for referee Jerome Boger in order to ensure that Boger would qualify to be the referee for Super Bowl XLVII. Boger was downgraded on eight games, which should disqualify him from officiating in the playoffs, but appealed and had all eight reversed.

That is very disturbing but when I read the headline I thought it was going to be about the NFL rigging games to get Booger (Peyton Manning) into the SB. It's not like they don't try.

If they wanted a black referee, why not just use Mike Carey? He's bad, but he's not 8 downgrades bad.

Haven't read the whole link but are you sure it doesn't mean fixed as in actually y'know...fix them because they were wrong?

I fully gave up on trying to criticize the NFL. They are going to do whatever they want and the only way to second guess them is with a lawsuit. If the Patriots weren't such an awesome team I probably wouldn't even watch football.
