I’m telling you Josh McDaniels right now feels like the luckiest man on Earth. I love this guy and IMO he’s top 5 all time OC. He’s brilliant. But after the HC issues…he’s gotta feel like the goose that laid the golden egg. I never want him to leave to be honest. I’m in love. It’s getting weird. Did I say that out loud?

I admired NEM's passion for Pats football, but he was a bit of a nut. If I remember correctly the final straw of his being banned had to do with calling Ian late at night and harassing him.
He would often DM me about his myriad of health issues which also resulted in financial issues..
Without regard he always added interest, even though his thoughts were a tad unhinged..
He was always right and would seldom listen to others point of view.

McD signed a 6 year deal with the LVR in 2023
that deal takes him thru 2029, with off set language.

Thats an AAV of $10m per.
for every dollar RK pays him under $10m, the LVR don't pay him that dollar.
McD is locked at $10m, unless RK pays him more than $10m (at that point the LVR pay him nothing)

therefore, if RK pays McD $6m, putting him at the top of the OC payroll along with Chip Kelly, the LVR then pay McD $4m.
regardless of what RK pays, McD is still locked in at $10m

McD has said he loves it here. his family loves it here
unless he has some gnawing obsession with proving he can be a winning HC in the league, and the perfect situation presents itself, where is he going?

* Coached multiple QBs to high levels of success. Obviously Brady but now Maye and let's not forget guys like Cassel.
* Coordinator Success now spanning close to 20 years in a league that is very different from where it was when he first started as an OC.

He's had opportunities and they didn't work. He's rich, should just stay here as OC.
