I'd say around half of the media "experts" picked the Colts to win that game. The Pats pull out a HUGE comeback win on the road against the undefeated Super Bowl champs & the theme of the day is..."Pats look very beatable".

No mention at all about Brady sacking up & leading his team to another come from behind victory, instead the story of the day is...

"Colts give Pats all they can handle without key starters"

"This would be a very different game with M. Harrison"

"This game wasnt a fair fight, Marvin Harrison plays & the Colts win this going away"

"Colts dominate physically, Addai ran all over their defense, I like their chances in Foxboro in January"

To top it all off we have to suffer through more rediculous post game handshake analysis.."Looks like Dr. Evil once again snubbed Saint Dungy in the post game handshake" ( not a real quote but you get the idea )

ZERO mention of all the gift penalties ( although with the history of pathetic officiating against the Pats I would expect more of the same in a rematch ).

I hope we see the Colts again in the postseason ( in Foxboro ). Home field advantage is HUGE for the colts. In a January foxboro game ( with the possiblity of ****ty weather ) I'd expect the Colts speed rushers to be shut down without the help of the crowd noise.

We took the Colts best shot on sunday & still beat them with their 12th man ( crowd ) & 13th man ( officials ).

Media is always a joke. So called experts.

Take away the gift 6 points from refs, it's 24 vs 14, very beatable. Plus it's a road game for us. When they come to Foxboro in winter time, we'll shut them out.

Media never talked about the PI calls, right?

Looking beatable = Pats.
Actually beatable = Colts.

Imagine the 2007 Pats aren't the team they are today (e.g. no Moss, no Welker, no Stallworth, no AD, etc.). Guess what would be the big story this year...that's right, can the 2007 Colts go 19-0? The Colts don't look as amazing on offense like they did in 2004, but the offense is still one of the league's best and they are definitely better on D than they've been in decades. Overall, this is the best Colts team since the late '60s/early '70s. Their thunder has been stolen by an amazing Pats team. Of course the Pats "look beatable"...they played a tight game against one of the best teams in the last 10 years in their house. Who wouldn't look beatable in that case?

ETA: And the timestamp issues continue. This should be post #8.

Regards,
Chris

Who cares?
We are 9-0. They cannot write anything that changes that.
Actually, I am pretty good with the media trying to fill the Colts heads with ideas that they had a moral victory. I do not know whether the media spin (essentially telling the Colts it isn't bad that they lost) will affect them or not. I know the media spin in any direction will not affect the Pats.

I posted something about the Marvin Harrison excuse a few days before the game...the media was already setting it up so they could say 'The Colts were without their best receiver, what did you expect to happen?'

The fact that this whole noise thing got covered up extremely quick, and that there's been almost no talk about the ridiculous officiating, pisses me off. It just tells me that the media and the NFL would love nothing better than to have the Pats fall from grace and allow the Colts--media darlings that they are--take over the spotlight once again.

We Pats fans will have the last laugh, though, when the Pats finish 19-0 and--even if it doesn't happen with this current crop of NFL and media jackasses--are dubbed the best team ever.

HFA is even bigger than you think. By going to a silent snap count in the dome the Pats are at a huge disadvantage. The defenders know when the ball is being snapped. Why do you think that the O-line had a tough time with the Colts "speedy" pass rushers.

In Foxboro Tom can switch up the snap count and keep the defenders guessing. This gives the O-line the advantage.

I think I have this correct. If someone can help clarify this further then please do so.

I remember watching one of the sports channels Monday morning, can't remember which station, but they were making it sound like it would actually be a more of an advantage for the Colts to play in Foxboro in January than for the Patriots. At first I thought they were joking. But no, they explained that it would be harder for Brady to throw the ball in January and would be much easier for Addai to run the ball. Indy just has to run the ball, and voila, they beat the Pats.

Thank God for ex-perts. Nothing like a good laugh before heading to work Monday morning.
