I did some consulting work for a company spun out of one of the Philly universities a while ago. They did work with carbon structures - including nano tubes. Their new facility opened up in the old ship yard and the owner had a guest who was rather old and was a carbon expert who did some of the pioneering work with nano tubes. Might have actually been him!
