It must also add a sort of symmetry to his life. He spent his early years working with and learning from his father, doing what they both loved. Now he gets to do that with his children. I an only imagine how immensely gratifying that must be. It would be truly fitting if some day he was standing next to one of his children as they got gatoraded after a SB win.It very well might.
Speaking from experience I worked for my dad in his firm a few summers during college/vacations doing some light accounting/computer/admin/gopher work and even though he was a demanding pain in the butt he'll say it was a blast when I was around as every time I did something well, it was incredibly gratifying to him and gave him (who was in his 50s at the time) and it game him a boost. He was always sad to see me go back to school for the fall and spring semesters.
I would assume when Stephen or Brian B do a good job with something he must just swell up with pride and that gives him that same "rush" so to speak.

****e, I should change my last name to Belichick and apply to John Carroll. I'm sure that's all it takes to get a job in the NFL.
