Another Monday Night controversy: Panthers clock operator allowed 4 seconds to run off clock AFTER Ted Ginn TD. Cost Patriots an added play.

of course if it was the pats....

I noticed it right when it happened, wondering why the clock wasn't stopped. But it happens. Look at Vinatieri's game winning FG in SB XXXVI; that sailed through with like 3 seconds left but time somehow expired.

But the Patriots could have gotten another play with that time. Remember the pass to Dobson with 7 seconds left to set them up for the final one? That took 3 seconds to run.

I saw that Monday night. I was wondering about that, but I figured the time when the ref told them to add three seconds on the clock right before the second to last play of the game was making up for that. The official clock and the clock we see is not the same.

More shenanigans. Not the NFL officials finest display that game

So instead of having 6 seconds, we should of had 10 seconds left. That changes the dynamic quite a bit.

We could of done another Dobson type dumpoff for 6-8 yards, giving us one play inside the 10.

We could write a book on how much the officals and opperators messed up.

Re: We got **** twice in Carolina

Can we drop this crap? Whats done is done. Why get upset anymore about it. Nothing is going to change

But wouldnt someone have mentioned why those 3 secs were added or questioned why it was added ?

who cares? we just need to move on, no point for crying allover this.

Anyway you look at it, it's another factor. Would it have changed the outcome of the game? don't know. Maybe it would have, maybe not. I just posted it here because it's our team's forum, and figured people would be interested to hear about it.

Just realize, the only way to really beat us is by having the refs help the other team

Re: We got **** twice in Carolina

It's Bronco's day, time to move on. Hopefully they see Carolina again this season to pay them back.

Re: We got **** twice in Carolina

Super Bowl crossed my mind more than once or twice.

some days you're the hammer and other days you're the nail.

Let's hope today we're the hammer.

Re: We got **** twice in Carolina

The clock operator manipulated the clock 3 times over the last 1+ minutes but the refs only reset the clock once. In live time, it was clear as night what the clock guy was up to.

MNF clock operator

Isn't the official time kept by the on field refs?

Although that is frustrating, it's time to move on. We've got the Broncos to face!
