It cracks me up that they didn't start talking about a contract until Monday - and that's pretty typical. Why all teams don't just bump the schedule on this a month is beyond me. I guess they know all but the #1 picks will sign quickly and the #1 picks will use training camp as a forced line in the sand.

The only question is whether he ends up like Klecko, a great guy without a clear role, or whether he really finds a way to be an impact player on a team with three other tight ends. He sure had some great college stats.

Mills may be close to signing..GOOD!!

I think he could play FB...many pre-draft publications had him as the number one FB...why not??? NOT liek Klecko though...and who knows if Klecko may NOT surprise???

He has not been used primarily as a full back in mini-camp and doesn't appear to have any full back credentials. He also is not considered to be even close to a dominating blocker or a running back, both skills needed to be an NFL full back. I hope he makes the team, but I see him as having to be a good tight end, not a full back. The Klecko analogy has more to do with the fact that you have two great guys who were amazingly productive in college at their position but don't fit any of the NFL prototypes for their position.
