It's easy, and only takes a few moments.PFF has its downsides but they correctly noted Guy as a quiet star for the Patriots, so I'm inclined to trust whoever was doing their defensive line grades for the AFC East. Pennel strikes me as a potentially great but relatively unknown pickup like Guy, and he'd have to try to be worse than the likes of Brown and Shelton.
Hilariously dumb contract by the Saints. Pennel should be an easy upgrade to the run D over both Brown and Shelton. The contract tells you how much BB values what he’s going to bring to the table in that facet of the game.Brown just signed for 3/15.
He played really well last season. The concerns are going to be snap count (32% last year, 27% in his other two full seasons) and his two substance abuse suspensions in 2016.
Smells like Lawrence Guy deal 2 yrs ago.
People tagged him as camp body, tweener etc.
In the end the camp body is the only DT to remain (+ udfa Butler) while all 1st rounders are gone (#12 Shelton, #32M.Brown, #33 Branch)..
Forgive me I don't know enough about the guy. That sort of money suggests they are planning for him to be a starter. Is he good enough?
Yep. Guy has made $8.2m of the $15m his 4 year deal calls for. He just completed Year 2.Its pretty similar money to what guy signed for so id expect a similar role.
Very good deal. Hope we can get Philon still
Would love another DT in FA so we could use some of our early picks on O and double dip at certain Need positions....Two players are better than one at certain Need positions.
Guy/Pennel/ButlerDo you think we resign Shelton? Or go for another DT in the draft?
