I'm serious posting you guys.

Can we consider having a stickied thread for people who enjoy digging up slights (real or perceived) against our team and posting about them? On any given day it feels like half of the threads posted here are about some insult or another. I don't want to censor anyone but I also don't want to see a thread every time Steven A. Smith, Mike Silver, Woody Paige, Felger et al posts something outrageous or upsetting.

Yes I can just scroll past and if this idea isn't considered a good one that's what I'll do.
Yes I'm backseat modding and that's bad form.

But man I'd like to see more thread space devoted to football talk and less devoted to outrage.

Some of the funniest lines here are regarding the on-air-holes from Boston and beyond. I like how things go here, free-speech wise...

...a few rules, strictly enforced.

That is effing BS! Who the f*ck do you think you are?!? You don't speak for anyone but you and the other little fnords. Remember that outrage was around long before you were a circle in your father's eye!

Came here to post this.

how about we all support our fellow patsfans to getting help for themselves since they obviously can't control themselves and keep doing the same thing. Insanity!

The mediots are not the Jesters, why the heck should we coagulate them in one dump? And stickying the thread would make it less obvious when there is the off new-interesting Faux-outrage generating material.

Hell, come to think of it, the jesters thread isnt even stickied. But it floats up like a turd in the punchbowl over and over throughout the year on it's own merits (or jester demerits ).

The i-hate-this-mediot threads can best live-die on their own merits/demerits as well.

I wonder who is more stupid:

The people who talk stupid ****

Or the people who reply in threads with said stupid things in exposition.

No, but really, it's not a bad idea. If NE advances to the big game this weekend, it may be something we should try adopting, since it'll be a rough 2 weeks in the media.

Maybe we need to break it down by kinds of perceived slight/outrage. E.g.:

"Someone is foolish enough think that a negative Patriots statistic matters!"

"Someone is foolish enough to think that a positive Patriots statistic doesn't matter!"

"Our opponents have the gall to believe they could win!"

"Someone is WRONG about what will happen in the future!"

What is worse are the repeat offenders. The ones who say they hate some talking head yet you always see them posting about whatever dumb crap they said.

Will admit I use a lot of ignore thread for those types of threads.

Just make fun of them appropriately. No need for a sticky.

Who would say no? Hell yeah, I'm tired of all the threads about what some meaningless talking head has to say.

Don't give them as much worth as their own dedicated thread, it's best for them to get stuffed in to one big cluster f*ck.

Anyone, please. How do you collapse that twitter column which is crowding out this site--it's over on the right... was never there before. It takes up about a third of the page. Frustrating.

LOL why post that question in this thread? See Ian's thread on the new layout.

OK thanks. I thought it was just me. I will check that thread.
