If the Broncos and Pats win out I think the Broncos win the tiebreaker due to better record in common opponent games. So we're not in control of our destiny yet just gotta keep winning.

I think 3 is the number, feels like we need to finish 4-1 and no worse.

Most likely we could only lose 1 more. Possible could lose 2 but I don’t see Denver losing 3 games unless they have a stinker somewhere. Gb,,kc, lac are all losable for them but unlikely they lose all 3

The Broncos are really sitting pretty.

If the Patriots lose 2 (let's say to the Bills and Ravens) then the Broncos are almost assured 1st rd. bye, even with losses to the Chiefs and Chargers.

If the Patriots lose 2, we'd have to count on the Broncos going 0-3 versus the Chiefs, Chargers and Packers, with the Chargers and Packers playing AT Denver.

Patriots have to go 3-0 against Phins, Jets and Giants, and also 1-1 against Ravens/Bills, while the Broncos go 1-2 against Pckers, Chargers and Chiefs.

The Chiefs will be fighting for their lives so that game AT KC will be tough for the Broncos.

Unless our loss is to the Giants, we can only afford 3 losses on the season to be #1 seed.

Cousin Mahomes will Never make that happen book it!

Is that you DW ?

This is why I was actually rooting for IND to beat KC even though they were tied with us record wise. Worst case scenario for me is that we end up the 2 seed and KC makes it as the 7th. Chiefs obviously don't have the best record this year, but really on paper they look as good to me as they ever have. I think this team is strongest they've had in a few years. They went through some stretches where tons of weapons were out at one to the point Thornton was their #1 WR for a bit (yikes!) and they've had awful record in the one score games just a year after having insane luck in them. I view that as kind of a fluky thing. If they make the playoffs, I'll probably pick them to go all the way to the Super Bowl again, so matching up with them would suck.

When the dust settles I'm expecting LAC/BUF/KC to be the 3 wildcards so i just want a seed that avoids KC if we can't get the bye. My guess is it lines up with KC as the 7 so if we can't get the bye I'd rather be 3rd than 2nd. Obviously that could change though.

den will lose 2 more (i hope)

Their Schedule looks powder puff...they're playing some Chokers @ Home.

Packers - Jags and Chargers plus a Jayden Daniels less Commanders and lowly Raiders their next two on the road winnable.

We are at the max number of losses we can have if we want the number one seed...

Futz around with the playoff machine on BSPN and you will come to that conclusion really really fast... there is no margin for error until Denver's fails to hold serve

Take LAC out of it Justin Herbert is not Big Time...he can't seem to get his Team over the hump like Trevor Lawrence...the Big Engines that couldn't. Very Tough Remaining Schedule I don't envy them. The Chiefs are far from Done Mahomes - Reed and Spagnuolo still breathes...

Maybe it's just me but feels like he's overrated a bit. That great Spags defense was depantsed in the Super Bowl and they've definitely taken a step back this season... Yes I know what he did with the Giants but that was almost 2 decades ago.

Not many teams are going into Mile High and winning there. That place has been a house of horrors for any Patriots team over the years.

After yesterday in Cinci: If we can avoid the Road in the Playoffs I say let it be.

I'd love to think this is a new era of the Pats that can win consistently out there.

According to playoffstatus.com, the Donkeys currently control their destiny for the #1 seed. If the Pats win and the Donkeys lose, then the Pats gain control.

(The Rams currently control their destiny for the NFC; apparently the Bears are closer to gaining control than the Eagles are!)

Can afford 1, maybe 2 depending.

If they have to lose 1 the Giants game is the one to drop. Losing AFC games will set them back.

Denver has 3 potential losses to GB, KC and LAC who will be fighting for their playoff lives. I would be surprised if they pulled a 2004 Steelers who refused to drop another game.

The Pats run D is becoming a concern and Cook could run wild in his next meeting with NE. I'd feel comfortable with 1, but not 2 and it they can't be to AFC teams.
