It would be a Testament if Maye can keep us within Two scores. Remember we haven't beaten a healthy Tua yet.
Very true. That Miami offense is a problem then have so many elite speed guys.. Achane can you imagine roller skating elliss trying to cover him in open field. Or ice skating Tavai

That's going to be Mayo on Sunday.

We know Hill and Waddle are light years faster than Kupp.
Big time!! Kupp and nucua are big slow possession WR who are excellent route runners.. I haven't seen this secondary play this bad in years.

On Tape last week Wilson was horrible, saw him getting beat this week live so assume he also stunk this week.
Not an NFL caliber player from what I saw, but weird they played him so much and then cut him, like they did not have an alternative to a bad player and now they all of a sudden do?
They are all fall guy for the horrible job Covington and Mayo are doing

I thought Wade played well last season and had been Acending as a CB he was cut during final cuts.. Wilson from earlier In the season he was being targeted by QBs. Gonzo, J.jones, Marcus are the starters.. I'd like to see some of dial involved.

Yeah I wonder where wade is now. Its crazy that gonzo and marcus Wilson were out last year and these cb’s held up the way they did.

Dugger and onwenu look like frauds after getting their big contract.
I think Onwenwu gets a slight pass because of the absolute mess around him coupled with asking flipping him back and forth between RG and RT.

I suppose Dugger gets a slight pass too due to injury but I'm a little more upset with him than Onwenwu.

Both still have a significant role in the future just obviously need to surround them with more better talent and they aren't so good to do it all on their own.

Gawd talked himself up when he wanted that New Contract, now after getting it: you can't find him with a search warrant.
There was absolutely no reason to pay him.

I took a ton of heat and still do when I said paying both of them was a massive mistake. However, more posters are getting on board with Rham being a bad signing as well.

Dugger was exposed last year when both McCourty and Phillips left. Some of his his attempted tackles yesterday were lazy as f....

They’re actually both linked in my mind for the same reason. Onwenu is a decently good RG who can passably play RT for short periods, but is being paid more than he should because of the RT ability. Being asked to play RT consistently, he gets exposed.

Dugger is a decently good strong safety (who had a bad day tackling yesterday, hope that’s just his injury….) who can passably play FS from series-to-series or play-to-play as strategic wrinkles to a game plan, but is being paid more than he should because of that FS ability. But playing FS consistently (like in 2023) he gets exposed.

Neither are bad players, but they’re being paid more than they’re contributing right now. A good coaching staff could get the most out of them; a good front office could get alternatives (like chasing after Xavier McKinney instead of Jaylen Hawkins, or not going after Orakafor at all…). Would be great if we could get them in their normal positions like in 2022 again, but that requires a competent staff (and the way the NFL is today, it’s absolutely possible to have both Peppers and Dugger on the field at the same time and both playing well, if Peppers does come back).

But neither are special enough that they shouldn’t be traded if a good offer is out there, and neither are likely to see the end of their contracts once we’re up against the cap.

It’s crazy how few turnovers we have actually received.

Our players are not put in position to succeed. That mixed zone against the Rams was a dumb idea.

Gonzo is a great example of being so mistakingly used.

One on one against Nucua? Allowed one catch for 10 yards. One on one against Cupp? 2 catches for 9 yards total.

Of course, for some very odd reason, they had him mostly on Robinson while out in the boundary. Who tallied two catches for 19 yards.

Cupp and Nucua eviscerate the rest of the D. Thank God we shut down Robinson, though!

Whatever Marco Wilson might have once been, he is now a JAG.

I remember vividly, the nay sayers are hiding under a rock.
