Can't help but wonder if those numbers are a bit low, but I hope a deal gets done.

Im thinking pats aims for that deal. 4 mil on yr 1, 10x2 to follow. Maybe the 4th year # needs to be exercised prior to year 3, with a bonus and guaranteeing yr 3's salary. I think both side's can benefit from a long term deal here. Im just throwing out hypotheticals. After seeing that Smith Sr ownage (on top of that 3rd down play)...sign the MAN up.

No, I don't either, but he's currently leading the league in PBUs and plays with a lot of physicality.

He has not yet reached his ceiling in my opinion, but even if this is it, he's still worth 10-11 million dollars a year. Maybe even 12.

No question he is still climbing.

I'm cautious about using PBUs as a way to measure how shutdown a CB is. With that # he either bats everything away or gets thrown at lot.

Might be a little bit of both with MB
