Will this group be as good as then? Probably not. But could it be as good as the end of last year? Probably so, considering the continued improvement on the DL, and the improvement in the secondary.
I think we'll pick up a couple of free agents to compete for spots.
I am crazy enough to expect that Beisel and Claridge (and/or a jag) can hold down the ILB spots next to Bruschi, after having minicamps, training camp and preseason to work together. And it could even take half the season before they are really OK together, but that's fine.
