Linebackers may be OK in a few games

Until Bruschi and Chad Brown come back,

1) Junior Seau and Banta-Cain are starting, and
2) Alexander and Woods are the first players off the bench.
3) Our STers Izzo and Davis are there for emergencies.

I will be much happier when it is Seau and Chad Brown coming in off the bench.

However, when Bruschi and Brown are back, this will be a solid crew.

BOTTOM LINE
I'd still like us to sign a jag and send Smith to the Practice Squad.

My gut feeling is that pioli and bb have no such intentions. I think they like Smith as a NT, perhaps better than Sullivan and the rest. Smith wouldn't normally be active, but he could START a game or two if Wilfork is hurt.

If we can stay relatively healthy with a starting group of Banta-Cain-Vrabel-Bruschi-Colvin or Vrabel-Seau-Bruschi-Colvin, that'll be just fine with me. Getting a decent amount of production from a healthy Seau for just this one year would be HUGE.

if seau proves to be as productive as tbc, then we hafta move vrabs back outside cuz hes more productive outside than inside and have tbc come off the bench
